The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overall financial reporting and will directly lead a team of 6 accountants. Hybrid work schedule (2-3 days/week in office). What- the Role:
Our client is searching for their new Manager Accounting- Financial Reporting. The Manager will lead a team of 6 direct reports- a mix of Senior Accountants, Intermediate Accountants, and Junior Accountants (some of whom are CPA designated, some of whom are pursuing CPA). The overall accounting & finance team is around 50 people. This is a well-rounded role involving consolidations (12+ entities), month/quarter/year-end, budgeting, forecasting, routine and ad hoc analysis, process improvements, and projects. Who- the Candidate:
We are seeking a designated accountant (Canadian CPA or International equivalent) with at least 8 years of progressive work experience within accounting and financial reporting, including a couple years of experience at management level leading a team of 3+ direct reports (designated accountants).

Public practice training (midsize firm or large multinational firm) is preferred, but not required.

Experience working in a complex multi-entity company with revenues of at least $100M and ideally $400M+ is required.

Exposure to multi-national accounting (particularly the US) and transfer pricing is advantageous.

Qualified candidates will be confident leaders who enjoy mentoring, coaching, and inspiring their team.

Systems savvy is important in this role, especially as the company is undertaking a financial system upgrade in 2024. Experience with a financial system project is beneficial but not required. The company uses various software and systems, including a procure-to-pay system and an expense management system.
How Much:
Robust total compensation package. Base salary range is being confirmed, but will likely be around $105,000 to $125,000, perhaps up to $130,000- commensurate with work experience, relevant skillset, and accounting education. Where:
Corporate headquarters are in downtown Vancouver. The building has an on-site fitness centre, and a warm and welcoming work environment. Hybrid- after onboarding and training, most folks on the finance team are choosing to work from home 2 or 3 days a week.
