Friendly and laid-back corporate culture and the people there take pride in the business service they provide to their clients.  

What- the Role:
The new Junior Accountant will have a variety of accounting responsibilities including…  

  • Invoicing: posting & tracking accounts receivable

  • Posting & paying accounts payable, cutting cheques

  • Reconciliations: bank accounts, credit cards, and investment accounts

  • Assisting with operational accounting (in an area many people can relate to and get excited about)

  • Preparing reports and conducting data manipulation in Excel

  • Various accounting and bookkeeping duties as assigned by senior staff

Who- the Candidate:
We are looking for a candidate who has a relevant accounting background, but just as importantly, someone who has a great attitude, who is friendly and personable, and who can effectively communicate and collaborate with their co-workers to get the job done.

  • 2+ years’ relevant work experience in accounting

  • Proficiency in Excel is a requirement for this role- experience using various formulas and functions, pivot tables, and ideally basic macros.

  • Relevant post-secondary education such as a Diploma in Accounting. Active pursuit of CPA designation is an asset but not required.

  • A self-starter with an interest in improving business processes and putting in place new efficiencies

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent communication skills- verbal and written
