What & Why:

Our client is investing majorly into technology and looking to add a contract mobile business analyst to their growing app team, focusing on lower funnel activity; checkout flows, cart optimization, purchase completion, and post-purchase experiences that drive conversion and guest satisfaction. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Business Owners, and Technology teams to translate business strategy into feature requirements, gathering both experience and functional requirements that enhance the mobile guest journey. Responsibilities include grooming backlogs, facilitating requirement alignment sessions using JIRA and Confluence, ensuring acceptance criteria is clearly defined, and working with Architects to understand system implications and dependencies. This role requires making smart tradeoffs between business needs and technology constraints while keeping the guest experience at the center turning roadmap priorities into actionable, sequenced feature development that moves the needle on mobile conversion and retention.

They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have an in-office work environment with 4 days a week in office.
 

You:

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience within the eCommerce industry, ideally with mobile app or digital commerce experience focused on conversion optimization and guest journey improvement.
• Proven ability to translate business strategy into feature development roadmaps, with experience providing requirements for medium to large initiatives and aligning scope/sequencing with product managers.
• Experience working with both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies, including backlog grooming, dependency management, architectural decision-making, and facilitating requirement conversations with technology teams.
• Demonstrated experience making tradeoffs between business needs and technology constraints while keeping guest needs top of mind, with strong skills using JIRA, Confluence, and business process documentation to drive requirement alignment.

Compensation:

This role pays between $70-85 per hour.
