HRIS Analyst
Permanent HRIS Analyst (Workday) joining the Total Rewards team of a global public company headquartered in Vancouver.
- Permanent, full-time HRIS Analyst role.
- Working with the Total Rewards team as the go-to Workday expert.
- Global client located in downtown Vancouver, hybrid work environment.
What & Why:
Our client is looking to add a Workday HRIS Analyst to their Total Rewards team on a permanent basis. This is a net-new role created to support a recently implemented Workday environment, meaning you’ll have real ownership from day one. You’ll be the go-to subject matter expert for keeping global HR technology running smoothly; configuring Workday, supporting HR teams and employees, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring new features and modules are properly tested and rolled out. Day-to-day you’ll partner with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to translate people-process needs into practical Workday solutions, with a primary focus on Learning & Development and Benefits modules, and cross-training across others. You’ll configure business processes, workflows, security roles, and notifications, coordinate and execute UAT for releases and integrations, manage data integrity through audits and mass updates, and build out documentation and training materials to drive adoption across a global workforce. This is a hands-on, operational role where you’ll work with a high degree of autonomy on a system that’s still being shaped, a genuine opportunity to make your mark.
Who:
This client is one of the most recognizable names in their industry, with operations across more than 12 countries and over 1,400 employees globally. They are a well-established public company headquartered right here in Vancouver, known for a fast-paced, high-performance corporate culture that equally values collaboration, learning & development, and having fun along the way. Think annual boat cruises, company sports teams, and frequent social events alongside serious investment in their people. They’re located in downtown Vancouver with stunning views, beautifully renovated offices, steps from SkyTrain, the Canada Line, and the SeaBus.
You:
You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud operations experience with deep expertise in both Azure and AWS cost management platforms, including native tools (Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer) and third-party platforms (Apptio Cloudability, CloudHealth).
- Proven expertise in RI/SP procurement strategy, utilization analysis, and coverage optimization across compute families, with demonstrated ability to manage lifecycle and maximize cost efficiency.
- Experience building cloud spend forecasting models and anomaly detection frameworks, with ability to architect monitoring logic (not just consume dashboards) and surface cost spikes, waste, and misaligned resource usage in near-real time.
- Executive-level communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to translate technical spend data into business narrative, deliver cost reviews and optimization roadmaps to senior leadership, and partner with engineering teams on FinOps best practices (proficiency in Python/SQL for automation and reporting pipelines; FinOps Certified Practitioner preferred).
Compensation:
This role offers a genuinely top-tier total rewards package base salary range of $100,000–$110,000 with room to grow, plus a short-term incentive bonus, pension plan, extended benefits, employee share purchase program, and a paid time off program equivalent to over five weeks per year.
