6-month contract Network Engineer working with the infrastructure team of a global organization

Our client is looking to add a Senior Network Engineer to be a key player on their Global Network Engineering team, responsible for keeping a massive, complex infrastructure running seamlessly across 750+ stores, distribution centers, and corporate offices in 25 countries. This isn’t a maintenance-only role, you’ll be at the forefront of designing and deploying modern network solutions, working with cutting-edge technologies like SD-WAN, Palo Alto, Zscaler, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. You’ll collaborate with architects, security teams, and vendors to build a network that’s secure, scalable, and ready to support their continued global expansion. They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have an onsite work environment with 4 days a week in office.
 

You:

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

• 8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience designing and supporting large-scale, global infrastructure.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and DNS/DHCP in complex enterprise environments.
• 5+ years working with SD-WAN platforms (e.g., Cisco, Meraki) including deployment, configuration, and ongoing optimization.
• 5+ years of network security experience with tools such as Palo Alto and Zscaler across cloud and on-prem environments.
• 4+ years of cloud networking experience across platforms like AWS, Azure, and Aviatrix.
• 4+ years using monitoring and observability tools such as SolarWinds and Splunk to track performance and resolve issues.
• 3+ years providing Tier 3 escalation support and troubleshooting complex, multi-layered network incidents.

Compensation:

This role pays between $85-94 per hour.
